Star (of a Low-budget DV Short) Search

Hidden Deadly is forging ahead with Film 2, The Point of Boxes, and we need some actors. (Sorry, only boys in this one. Yes, we've been roundly chastised.)

If you live in the Bay Area and want to succumb to your thespian urges, or know someone who does, check out all the info in the casting call. Auditions will be July 18 and 19, so act now (pun intended). Note: casting-call notice revised 07.11.04; we've cast one character.

Mark Your Farscape Calendar

The Miniseries has an air date. Farscape: (The) Peacekeeper War(s) (its exact title varies from source to source) will premiere Sunday, Oct. 17, on SciFi. And the first teaser comes tonight during the season premiere of Stargate SG-1, the less interesting but more Nielsen-friendly show that SciFi is running into the ground Trading Spaces style.

If SciFi is spending precious Stargate time on Farscape, it's a hopeful sign that the slug-run network is actually serious about promoting the show this time.

Meanwhile, the Farscape Powers That Be insist that the miniseries, while picking up the hanging threads from the series' premature finale, will also be a stand-alone story that utter Farscape newbies can enjoy, too. Though it's worth pointing out that you've got three whole months to start renting the DVDs and catch up on everything.
