The majority of roles that are available are, he's a cop, he's a lawyer, he's a cop who used to be a lawyer, he's a lawyer who used to be a cop, he's a retired cop.

Ben Browder adjusts to the limited scope of American-made TV, on which he makes his first post-Farscape appearance in a guest shot on Monday's CSI: Miami, which I will thus have to watch for the first time in spite of my lack of enthusiasm for all things CSI. As Emily Gilmore so wisely said, "I don’t watch that much television. I don’t find forensic work quite as fascinating as the rest of the world." (Article by Zap2It, link via Save Farscape)

So on account of my super-talented boyfriend, I'm going to the Northern California Emmy Awards next month. Which means that besides rooting for my team in its category, I'll also be there when they hand out this year's Emmy for Light News Feature – and the nominees are:

  • "Dockers Test"
  • "Haunted Old Del Monte"
  • "Sheet Music Man"
  • "Snow Shovel Speed Racers"
  • "Stolen Meat"

Will "Sheet Music Man" and "Snow Shovel Speed Racers" split the vote, giving the upset to "Dockers Test"?

And why isn't "Stolen Meat" up for Serious News Feature?

What? You know. Mix tape. Remember? Tape?

David and Jody have deciphered the cliché hidden in the Yahoo! ad's mangled language: third time's the charm. Oh. I see.

My objection stands.
