Why is that I can live in the same medium-sized Kentucky city as someone else, yet not meet the person until I wind up working with him in California? I mean, yeah, it could be that I didn't get out much back then, but I prefer a theory more grandiose.

Got one?

A theory I do have: there are far more edits in the current TV commercial for M. Night Shyamalan's Signs than there are in the entire movie. (Not a knock on M.: I really liked The Sixth Sense, loved Unbreakable, and am baited-breathily waiting.)

Hey, guess who had the "Quote of the Day" at the gym I just started re-going to? Nietzsche! Bet he's excited.

Speaking of the gym, the TV there led me to another TV-B-star-rerun epiphany: on the same day, Jane Kaczmarek (Malcolm's mom) in both St. Elsewhere and Frasier. (A TV in a gym is the only way I'd see the latter.)

"Shyamalan," "Nietzsche," and "Kaczmarek" in the same entry, all spelled correctly. I await the Nobel committee's call.
