It's a shame there's no organization to historically preserve websites as there is for old buildings; if there were, there might be a way to realistically save the Trojan Room coffeepot page, the webcam that started it all. It's going away because the Cambridge lab that made it is moving on, as the technology that created it has. (Thanks to Davenetics, the dandy tech-news e-mail weblog, for the link.)

When I finally discovered the HeroMachine the other day, I knew its moment in the Web sun had come a couple weeks earlier, but I hadn't had the time or disposition then to check it out. Once I did, I loved it enough that I thought it worthy of belated mention, and my missing the earlier bandwagon proved to be of value to at least one reader. Glad I could help, Matt.

Once again, Barron steers me to a fantastic Web find: the 25 worst-dressed GI Joe figures. A comment on No. 1: isn't this what Britney wore in the Super Bowl halftime show?

An old DangerBoy's footsoldier makes its triumphant return: my ongoing ranking of the state quarters. It's refreshed and updated, and it's in the 'Bred Box.

In other site news, in just two months the Crumbtents has already grown so big that it needs two pages. You are using the Crumbtents, aren't you? Aren't you?
