Magic Digits of Avoidance

Maybe Hurley's* numbers were cursed, but my number was pure good luck. 610 – one of the 13 group numbers that didn't get called for jury duty this week. For another year, I'm off the hook of doing my civic duty of sitting in a courtroom and listening to lawyers. Woo qua hoo.

* Yes, I'm still watching Lost, which has served up two consecutive not-bad episodes after the streak of suckiness that began with Boone's hallucination. I'm not saying I've regained my faith in the show; it's still going nowhere ploddingly, and I'm growing weary of the doc/fugutive/redneck love triangle, magic psychic boy, know-it-all(-but-tell-none-of-it) creepy guy, and flashbacks in general. But ... hey, why am I still watching it? Oh, yeah, habit. And pretty scenery. And riffability.
